This is hand carved wooden small figurine of the Slavic goddess - Mat Zemlya.
It is made of linden wood and coated with linseed oil.
The figurine is approximately 15 centimeters (6 Inches) tall.

Goddess MAT ZEMLYA (Matka Ziemia or Matushka Zeml'ja) is the Earth Mother and is probably the oldest deity in Slavic mythology.She is also called Mati Syra Zemlya meaning Damp Mother Earth or Moist Mother Earth. Her identity later blended into that of Mokosh.
