This is hand carved wooden small figurine of the Slavic goddess - Kupalnitsa.
It is made of linden wood and coated with linseed oil.
The figurine is approximately 15 centimeters (6 Inches) tall.

Goddess KUPALNITSA is the goddess of the night in Slavic mythology. She is a sister of Vechorka, Poludnitsa and Zorya, and also the wife of Simargl. Her children, Kupalo and Kostroma, died because of love for each other. She is the patron goddess of various bodies of water: lakes and rivers, seas and springs, oceans and swamps. All water spirits and all rusalki are subordinate to Kupalnitsa.
