This is hand carved wooden small figurine of the Celtic goddess - Brighid.
It is made of linden wood and coated with linseed oil.
The figurine is approximately 15 centimeters (6 Inches) tall.
In the Irish mythological cycles, BRIGID (or Brigid, Brighid), whose name comes from the Celtic brig or "exalted one", is the daughter of the Dagda. Brighid was the patron of poets and bards, as well as healers and magicians. She was especially revered when it came to matters of prophecy and fortune telling. Brigid is a Fire Goddess associated with blacksmithing and possibly fire worship.
