Creidhne – Celtic God of Goldsmithing and Craftsmanship

Hand-carved wooden statue of Creidhne, the divine craftsman and goldsmith of the Tuatha Dé Danann in Irish Celtic mythology. Creidhne was one of the Three Gods of Craftsmanship, together with Goibhniu the smith and Luchtaine the carpenter.

Creidhne was especially skilled in working with gold, bronze and brass. During the preparations for the Second Battle of Mag Tuired, he helped create weapons and armor for the Tuatha Dé Danann, crafting spear rivets, sword hilts, shield bosses and other metal components.

He is also remembered for helping Dian Cécht create the silver hand of Nuada Airgetlám, one of the most famous stories associated with the craftsmen of the Tuatha Dé Danann.
